IKV Pax Christi became one of the Founding Partners of MasterPeace from 2010 onwards because it shares with MasterPeace the vision that peace concerns everyone, here in the Netherlands as much as in countries suffering under conflict. We also share the notion that peace is a verb; an ambition that needs everyone's commitment and effort. As the leading peace organization in the Netherlands, IKV Pax Christi is active in 14 conflict areas all over the world where we work together with NGOs, social movements and individuals and support peace activists who work hard towards peace in their country, region and neighborhood. In addition, we are involved in several lobby initiatives among which the Cluster Munition Coalition and activities concerning nuclear weapons.
Our support to MasterPeace takes place on different levels: we freely share our knowledge of working in conflicts; we collaborate in various MasterPeace activities and are exploring how to elaborate new activities together. And of course we give voice to the MasterPeace vision when in contact with others. Because we believe in co-creation and synergy. We believe in the platform that MasterPeace offers to all people who want to become part of this global movement. We will strive to make MasterPeace the success it deserves and needs to become: because peace IS possible if we all make the choice that it is.
IKV Pax Christi works for peace, reconciliation and justice in the world. They join with people in conflict areas to work on a peaceful and democratic society. IKV Pax Christi combines knowledge, energy and people to attain one single objective: there must be peace!
