Jeremy Gilley is the founder of our collaborative partner 'Peace One Day'.
Following their very successful Global Truce 2012 ‘Student Activation’
Launch with the NUS (National Union of Students UK) on 27th February, they will now focus on their new campaign‘Reducing Domestic Violence’.

Peace One Day has partnered with The Eliminate Domestic Violence Global Foundation (EDV) to bring together a coalition of partners dedicated to eradicating domestic violence worldwide. Jeremy Gilley will be hosting the event on 21st March alongside the Rt. Hon. Baroness Scotland, QC (Founder and Patron of The EDV Global Foundation) and Peace One Day Ambassador Jude Law. Leading figures in this field, from every continent, have been confirmed and will be making their commitment to Peace Day 2012.

It is important to note that Peace Day is as much about the violence in our homes, communities and schools, as it is about civil and international wars. Peace Day 2012 will be an opportunity to unite on a scale never seen before and bring the issues of domestic violence to the fore. So, we are asking all organisations from around the world committed to tackling domestic violence to join this effort. Together we can decrease the level of violence globally, raise awareness and generate a vast array of activity around those issues; the press launch on 21st March marks the beginning of this journey.
