Ubiquity University partners with MasterPeace, providing Entrepreneurship Courses to the organization’s Network of Changemakers

This partnership further develops Ubiquity University’s disruptive Network Orchestrator strategy, which brings global transformational learning and innovation to change agents in their communities.

Utrecht/San Francisco –– Global education company Ubiquity University today announced its partnership with grassroots organization MasterPeace. Through the partnership, Ubiquity will help MasterPeace to increase the impact of its local peace projects, by making entrepreneurship courses available to the organization’s global network.

Ubiquity University offers distance learning and innovative classes to students worldwide through strategic partnerships with education and innovation networks. The company collaborates with vocational schools, universities and impact organizations to offer classes critical for employment and social innovation, such as courses in entrepreneurship, creativity and leadership.

MasterPeace is a multi-award-winning, global grassroots non-profit and non-governmental peace organization. It mobilizes people around the world to use their talents and energy to build peace – through modes like music, sports, art, and dialogue. Launched in 2011, it now exists in 45 countries worldwide.

“At Ubiquity, we’re committed to social innovation and entrepreneurship for a sustainable and peaceful world,” said Jim Garrison, President of Ubiquity University. “By making our entrepreneurial program available to this global network of peacemakers, we are contributing to our vision: a whole new kind of education, for a whole new kind of world.”

Ubiquity University and MasterPeace are currently running a pilot program, and offering Ubiquity’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship course to clubs in Afghanistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, The Netherlands and Zimbabwe. The free online course will support the development of the participant’s local projects. Once the pilot is complete, it will be offered at a discounted rate to more clubs worldwide.

Social entrepreneurship is becoming increasingly important in this day and age. The Ubiquity University and MasterPeace partnership will equip peace activists with the skills they need to develop peace-generating projects, which ultimately will help prevent and solve conflicts in local communities.

“We are delighted to announce this partnership with Ubiquity University, and to offer our network of peacemakers an education in entrepreneurship from top faculty,” said Aart Bos, MasterPeace CEO. “We believe in the power of well informed changemakers. Without a doubt, the partnership will help increase the impact of our peace projects and, quite simply, help make the world a better place.”
