Walls of Connection

“Sometimes our walls exist just to see who has the strength to knock them down.”

― Darnell Lamont Walker, Creep

Walls are the epitome of separation! For centuries, people have been walling-out “the other,” dividing and separating themselves for one reason or another.

We currently inhabit a world that has been building more walls than ever before, separating communities, neighborhoods, cities and countries creating a sense of separation, exclusion, danger, and limitation. Since the collapse of the Berlin wall, 1/3rd of the entire world has built border fences and thousands of walls within cities and neighborhoods.

But the idea is not to destroy walls! The idea is to ‘transforming’ Walls of Separation into Walls of Connection. Turn ugly symbols of divisions into tools to connect.
